Wisconsin health system’s expansion with ASC nearly complete — 3 key notes

Work on Wausau, Wis.-based Aspirus’ Stevens Point, Wis., clinic is nearly complete, the Stevens Point Journal reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Aspirus broke ground on the expansion in August 2016. The health system estimates the expansion will be complete by December.

2. The new facility will be 75,000 square feet and will include an ASC. In addition the facility will offer walk-in care and imaging services.

3. Aspirus is in the process of adding an emergency department to the facility as well. The system expects the ED to open in June 2018.
