Anesthesia group to know: Ambulatory Anesthesiologists of Chicago

Ambulatory Anesthesiologists of Chicago is a specialty surgery center-facing anesthesia group.

The group is specifically tailored to operate in the ambulatory arena. AAOC has designed its anesthesia delivery system around outcomes-based protocols and delivers anesthesia to be both effective during the procedure and nausea-free postoperatively.

The group touts is vendor relationships, which allow it to negotiate “more competitive rates for surgery center medical supplies and equipment.”

Jay Kiokemeister, DO, and his two decades of clinical experience have overseen operations for AAOC since 1999. In addition to his responsibilities, he leads all performance-related initiatives throughout the organization.

Dr. Kiokemeister earned his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991. He completed his residency at Chicago-based Northwestern University Medical Center.
