Man accused of stabbing at Texas ASC to stand trial: 3 notes

In 2013, then 22-year-old Kyron Rayshawn Templeton allegedly stabbed four people at Longview, Texas-based Good Shepherd Ambulatory Surgical Center, according to KLTV.com.

Here are three notes:

1. Mr. Templeton will stand trial on Oct. 16, nearly four years after the stabbings.

2. The trial concerns Mr. Templeton allegedly stabbing Gail Sandidge, RN, a nurse at the ASC. Ms. Sandidge died from her wounds. He also is accused of stabbing three other people who survived the attack.

3. In March, Mr. Templeton attended a competency hearing where a judge deemed him fit to stand trial.
