1. Dr. Shah wants to pursue a career in health services research with a clinical focus on mortality. He also has an interest in drug development.

2. Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from Lubbock-based Texas Tech University. He completed a residency at Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

3. Dr. Shah also earned a MBA degree from Texas Tech University.

4. During the fellowship, Gastroenterology’s editors will mentor Dr. Shah on the entire editorial process. At the conclusion of the fellowship, he will summarize the experience in AGA’s new quarterly magazine, The New Gastroenterologist.
