GI leader to know: Dr. Michael Bass of GI Specialists of Delaware

Michael Bass, MD, is a gastroenterologist with the Newark-based GI Specialists of Delaware.

He began his career after earning his medical degree from Grenada, West Indies-based St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed a residency at Washington, D.C.-based Georgetown University Hospital and a fellowship at New York City-based SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

Dr. Bass co-authored a paper published in the Southern Medical Journal.

He previously worked at Elkton, Md.-based Union Hospital of Cecil County.
