1. The companies are partnering through a strategic alliance. They are developing solutions to support anesthesiologists and hospitals in their regional anesthesia efforts.

2. The companies hope to enhance needle visualization and guidance while optimizing procedure workflow and resource planning.

3. To do this, Philips developed the Xperius ultrasound system. It supports regional anesthesia at the point of care through its high quality imaging services for needle targeting and positioning and for its ergonomic features.

4. The system complements B.Braun’s peripheral nerve block portfolio.
