Former CMS acting administrator Andy Slavitt joined Washington, D.C.-based Bipartisan Policy Center, HealthcareIT News reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Mr. Slavitt will work at developing and advocating a bipartisan healthcare policy platform.

2. Mr. Slavitt is bringing his senior advisor Natalie Davis to the organization as well. She will serve as the strategic engagement director.

3. Mr. Slavitt said he is going to solicit governors’, medical leaders’ and state health officials’ input when developing policy.
