Drs. Kristy Voytek, Melissa Ann Lasota join Geisinger Community Medical Center: 5 things to know

Scranton, Pa.-based Geisinger Community Medical Center has added Kristy Voytek, MD, and Melissa Ann Lasota, MD, to its anesthesia team.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Dr. Voytek earned her medical degree at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. She went on to complete an anesthesiology residency at Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical Center.

2. Dr. Voytek is a member of American Society of Anesthesiologists, Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiologists and Society for Education in Anesthesia.

3. Dr. Lasota earned her medical degree at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. She went on to complete anesthesia residency training at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Miami-based Jackson Memorial Hospital.

4. Dr. Lasota is a member of American Society of Anesthesiologists and Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiologists.

5. Both physicians are certified in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support; Dr. Voytek is also certified in pediatric advanced life support.
