He subspecializes in colon cancer screening and prevention, gastroesophageal reflux, hepatitis and several other services.
His career began after he earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford, Ill. He completed a residency at the Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic before his fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
Dr. Castillo is involved in research and has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Castillo practices with his father Samuel Castillo, MD, out of Chicago Gastroenterology.
