Excellence in California — West Wilshire Medical Surgical Center receives award from California Ambulatory Surgery Association: 4 things to know

The California Ambulatory Surgery Center awarded one of its first Annual Excellence Awards to the Los Angeles-based West Wilshire Medical Surgical Center.

Here’s what you need to know.

1. The awards recognize ASCs in California that are “drivers of excellent healthcare, providing opportunities and solutions for healthcare reform.”

2. Eligible centers are judged against a five platform categorical system.

3. West Wilshire was founded in 2002, and provides high level multispecialty care. The center offers ophthalmology, otolaryngology, head and neck, plastic and orthopedic surgery.

4. The center was the first to employ Intraoperative Navigation, and the first outpatient center to perform a transnasal endoscopic image-guided orbital tumor surgery.
