3. Several case-controlled studies have shown the correlation between the two claims.
4. Coffee may also boost the survival rate from colon cancer as well. A study in the Journal of Clinical Oncology shows that colon cancer patients who are heavy coffee drinkers lower their risk of dying or having the cancer return.
5. More research is needed before physicians can start recommending coffee as a preventative measure.
