Dr. Swaminath’s clinical interests focus on Crohn’s disease and colitis. He has made major contributions to the gastroenterology fellowship program at Lenox Hill Hospital, and frequently presents on inflammatory bowel diseases.
Dr. Swaminath previously served as a NYC Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Chapter Medical Advisory Committee chair and currently participates as a member of the National Scientific Advisory Professional Education Committee.
Dr. Swaminath earned his medical degree from the University of California at San Diego and completed his residency at the same instituation. He also completed fellowships at the University of California Medical Center at San Diego and Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.
