1. The Savannah Book Festival is an independent, nonprofit corporation committed to encouraging literacy and the love of books.
2. Dr. Murphy is a founding partner of The Center for Liver and Digestive Health in Savannah, Ga. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed both his residency and fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
3. Dr. Murphy is the author of two books — The Curse of the Thrax, a young adult fantasy fiction novel, and The Shadow Man, an adult crime fiction novel.
