Dr. Asad Rafiq joins Blessing Physician Services: 3 notes

Blessing Physician Services in Quincy, Ill., added gastroenterologist Asad Rafiq, MD, to its medical staff, according to a Herald-Whig report.

1. Dr. Rafiq focuses on diseases of the digestive system and has a special interest in inflammatory bowel diseases, chronic hepatitis and colon cancer screening.

2. He earned his medical degree from Deccan College of Medical Sciences in India.

3. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago.
