2. All physicians—specialists and primary care—generate $1.5 million on average for their hospital. That’s up from last year’s $1.4 million.
3. Primary care physicians generate $1.4 million in 2016, down from $1.5 million last year on average.
4. Orthopedic surgeons generated the most on average, at $2.7 million, for affiliated hospitals. Revenue generated increased in 11 of the 18 medical specialties, according to Dallas Business Journal citing the report.
5. Neurosurgeons and cardiologists both generated around $2.4 million per physician for affiliated hospitals.
