AAAHC accredits Walla Walla Clinic ASC: 5 key notes

The Walla Walla (Wash.) Clinic Ambulatory Surgery Center received Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care accreditation.

Here are five things to know about Walla Walla ASC:

1. The surgery center opened in February 2000 and surgeons have performed more than 20,000 surgeries there since.

2. The surgery center includes orthopedics, urology, plastic surgery, gynecology and gastroenterology procedures.

3. There are 14 physicians associated with the surgery center who work closely with nurse practitioners to perform the procedures.

4. The center’s physicians also focus on research with the Walla Walla Clinic Research Department established in 1997. The clinical trials include research for FDA approval and other clinical trials.

5. The Clinic also includes physical therapy, radiology and imaging and nuclear medicine.
