SCA net revenue reaches $306M in Q4, Physician’s Endoscopy acquires 40th ASC & more — 6 key notes on ASC companies

Here are six updates on ASC companies from the last week.

Surgical Care Affiliates total net operating revenue increased nearly 24 percent in the fourth of 2015, reaching $305.9 million, compared to $247.2 million during same period of 2014.

SCA partnered with Libertyville, Ill.-based Winchester Endoscopy Center. SCA and Winchester opened an ASC in January 2016 under the partnership, expanding SCA’s presence in Chicago area to six locations.

Physicians Endoscopy acquired minority interest in a joint venture with DeKalb Endoscopy Center in Decatur, Ga. The endoscopy center is Physician Endoscopy’s 40th center.

Baptist Health South Florida in Miami has acquired an interest in Northpoint Surgery Center through its subsidiary AmSurg Baptist Network Alliance. AmSurg Baptist Network Alliance acquired a nearly 27 percent interest in West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Northpoint Surgery Center in December.

An AmSurg Director, Joey Jacobs, served on the executive committee of the Centennial Campaign fundraiser at Murfreesboro-based Middle Tennessee State University. The campaign earned more than $100 million with Mr. Jacobs contributing $2.5 million to create an endowed chair of excellence in accounting.

During the week of Feb. 15 to Feb. 19, Tenet Healthcare shares traded at $23.83 per share, down 0.5 percent.
