The Bajaj Allianz General Insurance survey received answers from 1,100 working professionals, aged 23 years to 35 years. The survey covered Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Gurgaon and Goa residents.
Here are five takeaways from the survey.
1. Three-quarters of the respondents have health insurance.
2. Of the 25 percent who don’t have health insurance, 46 percent reported the coverage is too expensive.
3. Seventeen percent of those uninsured reported they weren’t aware of health insurance plans.
4. Of those with health insurance, 60 percent have employer-provided plans and 30 percent have personal plans.
5. Forty percent of respondents suffer from chronic pain and 20 percent suffer from weight-related complications.
