Eye Surgery and Laser Center of Sebring in Florida gets accreditation: 5 key notes

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care granted accreditation to the Eye Surgery and Laser Center of Sebring (Fla.) in November 2015.

Here are five things to know about the Eye Surgery and Laser Center of Sebring:

1. There are 13 physicians associated with the center that perform cataract surgery and oculoplastics.

2. Procedures performed at the center include blepharoplasty/eyelid revision surgery, corneal transplants, cataract surgery, IOLs, laser-assisted cataract surgery and selective laser trabeculoplasty.

3. The surgery center has a YAG laser for outpatient capsulotomy procedures.

4. The surgery center is associated with AmSurg and has received the Cataract Innovator award since 2004. All of the staff is certified in basic life support and registered nurses and anesthesiologists are certified in advanced cardiac life support.

5. The center director is Eileen Beltramba, RN, COT, BS, CRNO. She was the 2015 nurse of the year for American Society of Ophthlamic Registered Nurses.
