St. Vincent’s One Nineteen completes 1st surgery in outpatient center: 4 things to know

St. Vincent’s One Nineteen completed its first surgery in its new outpatient surgery center in Shelby County, Ala., according to Shelby County Reporter.

Here are four things to know:

1. Otologist Grayson Rodgers, MD, performed the procedure on Jan. 29.

2. Dr. Rodgers implanted a bone-anchored hearing aid, BAHA, into a patient’s ear.

3. The St. Vincent’s One Nineteen Outpatient Surgery Center offers general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, plastic surgery, pain management, ENT and gynecology.

4. The center has four operating rooms and two procedure rooms.
