Anesthesia M&A activity ramps up: 7 latest deals

The end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016 saw a sudden increase in merger, acquisition and partnership activity in the anesthesia industry. Here are seven deals announced in December 2015 and January 2016:

CEP America’s anesthesia practice is expanding with the addition of Lodi, Calif.-based Morpheus Anesthesia.

 

North American Partners in Anesthesia expanded its partnership with Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, N.Y.

 

North American Partners in Anesthesia also acquired ProCare Systems, a management services organization focused on chronic pain management.

 

Mednax acquired West End Anesthesia Group in Richmond, Va., as well as its related entities, Hanover Anesthesia Group and West End Anesthesia Group.

 

North American Partners in Anesthesia partnered with Riverside Medical Center and its affiliated ASC, Riverside Ambulatory Surgery Center, in Kankakee, Ill.

 

Sheridan, the physician services division of AmSurg, acquired Northside Anesthesiology Consultants in Atlanta.

 

CRH Medical acquired 65 percent ownership of Macon Gastroenterology Anesthesia Associates.
