Here are three things to know:
1. The bill aims to expand the current law to underinsured Kentuckians who meet the appropriate guidelines, including uninsured persons between the ages of 50 and 64 years or uninsured persons at high risk for the disease.
2. The current law limits screenings under the state’s Colon Cancer Screening Program.
3. The bill has been approved by a House committee and will soon head to the House floor for a vote.
