Here are six notes:
1. The unit will offer family planning services, disease screenings, immunizations and physicals, among other services.
2. The homeless, uninsured and underinsured may use the services.
3. Of Seminole County’s 372,041 residents under the age of 65 years, 75,000 residents are uninsured, according to a report by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute
4. Patients may walk to the mobile health unit or make appointments before visiting.
5. Orlando Health, Healthy Start Coalition of Seminole County, True Health Family Health Centers and the WIC program will sponsor the mobile unit.
6. The mobile unit’s annual operating costs total $330,000.
