APIC elects Linda Green president-elect, names 7 new leaders

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology elected new officers, directors and members of the nominating and awards committee.

The new appointees include:

1. President-elect: Linda Green, RN, who will become president in January 2017. She is the manager of infection prevention at University of Rochester (N.Y.) Highland Hospital.

2. Secretary: Linda McKinley, RN, BSN, infection preventionist at Madison (Wis.) VA Hospital.

3. Board of directors: Annemarie Flood, RN, BSN, manager, infection prevention at City of Hope in Durante, Calif.

4. Board of directors: Pat Metcalf Jackson, RN, director, infection prevention and control at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

5. Board of directors: Stanley Healy, MBA, senior administrator at Greenville (S.C.) Health System.

6. Nominating and awards committee: director, infection prevention and control at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

7. Nominating and awards committee: Jo Micek, RN, manager, infection prevention and control at Liberty (Mo.) Hospital.
