Here are five things to know:

1. TouchCare’s HIPAA-compliant mobile telemedicine app allows Tandigm Health’s physicians to securely message their patients.

2. The app’s video feature will provide face-to-face interaction for high-risk patients who could benefit from ongoing communication with physicians.

3. Tandigm Health medical directors will help primary care physicians coordinate care during the training period.

4. Tandigm Health will eventually offer TouchCare to more patients for provider-to-patient and provider-to-provider communication.

5. The TouchCare app is designed to help patients navigate the healthcare system, as it connects patients’ physicians and various specialists.

“Using TouchCare on a mobile device as a single place where patients can connect to all of their healthcare providers is a powerful vision, especially in Philadelphia, one of the largest and most expensive healthcare markets in the United States,” said Damian Gilbert, founder and CEO, TouchCare. “We’re delighted to partner with Tandigm Health to make this vision a reality.”
