The unit offers a nursing station and rooms for outpatient surgery patients and is located next to the operating rooms. The space also provides an area for patients’ families to wait during surgery.

The ambulatory surgery unit provides pain management and general surgery services, which were not previously offered.

The hospital opened this ambulatory surgery unit to increase efficiency, as patients used to be transported to a different floor following surgery.
