Dr. Tremaine has a professional interest in acid reflux disease, colectomy, colonoscopy, diarrhea, colorectal cancer, hepatitis C, inflammatory bowel diseases and rectal fistula. His research interests include the clinical care of patients with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and microscopic colitis; research on the natural history and clinical characteristics of IBD; and research on ethical issues in the care of patients with IBD. Dr. Tremaine won the American Gastroenterological Association’s Distinguished Clinician Award in 2011.
Dr. Tremaine earned his medical degree at the University of Mississippi in Jackson and completed his residency and a gastroenterology fellowship at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.
