Ohio State pushes for $10M surgery center project

Ohio State University in Columbus is planning a new sports medicine center, and construction costs could increase by $10 million if the addition of a surgery center is approved, according to a Columbus Business First report.

Construction has already begun on the OSU Wexner Medical Center’s Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute. The project, first proposed two years ago, was approved at a cost of $35 million. Trustees approached the OSU board to request an additional $10 million for a surgery center, according to the report.

The surgery center would house four operating rooms and 19 pre- and postoperative rooms.
