$35M ambulatory care center comes to Creighton University Medical Center: 5 things to know

Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha will introduce a new ambulatory care center as part of a new academic complex, reports St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Here are five things to know:

1. The 80,000 square-foot building will cost about $35 million.

2. The center will take a team-based approach to care, education and the surrounding community in one location.

3. The center will include the area’s first free-standing emergency department as well as outpatient and diagnostic services.

4. Creighton University’s family medicine residency program will also be housed in the new center.

5. The facility is expected to open in late 2015.
