Here are five things to know:
1. A jury-awarded grand prize of $5,000 will be presented in Los Angeles to the winner of the contest at ObesityWeek 2015.
2. Judges will be coming from fields such as television and film, obesity and public health experts, patient advocacy and journalism.
3. Ideas that ASMBS advises to consider include; treating obesity as a disease, the cost of obesity and combating weight stigma and discrimination.
4. The contest is open to anyone, in any style or genre, and the film or video should be five minutes or less.
5. The deadline to submit a film is October 1, 2015.
