ASCA elects 6 board members for 3-year terms

There were six people elected or re-elected to the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association’s Board of Directors this year.

The six members will serve three-year terms. The three members re-elected are:

1. Cindy Young, administrative director of the Surgery Center of Farmington (Mo.)

2. Stan Plavin, MD, founding member of Ambulatory Anesthesia of Atlanta

3. Larry Taylor, president and CEO of Practice Partners in Healthcare

The three new members of the board of directors are:

4. Linda Nash, CASC, administrator and risk manager for Manatee Surgical Center

5. Janie Kinsey, CASC, administrator of Saint Luke’s Surgicenter-Lee’s Summit

6. Ann Shimek, senior vice president clinical operations of United Surgical Partners International
