MEDNAX completes vRad acquisition: 4 things to know

As previously reported, MEDNAX agreed to acquire vRad. Now, the acquisition is complete.

Here are four things to know about the completed acquisition:

1. MEDNAX completed the acquisition for $500 million, “which includes the assumption of certain net operating loss carry forwards.”

2. MEDNAX expects the acquisition to add an initial $25 million in annualized operating income.

3. vRad is a radiology physician services and telemedicine company.

4. The company includes a network of over 350 radiologists and provides radiology coverage to over 2,100 healthcare facilities.
