Mercy Surgery Center nurse receives Distinguished Nurse Leadership Award: 4 things to know

Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio, has granted it first Distinguished Nurse Leadership Award to Sue Passmore, RN, according to a report by The Review. Here are four things to know.

1. Ms. Passmore serves as the medical center’s nursing director of post-anesthesia care and same-day surgery. She also leads pre-admission education and testing.

2. Ms. Passmore has worked at Mercy Medical Center since 1968. For the past 32 years, she has served in a number of leadership positions at Mercy Surgery Center, according to the report.

3. Ms. Passmore earned her nursing degree at the University of Akron (Ohio.).

4. The award was granted during National Nurses Week, May 6 to May 12 this year.
