The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia officially opens ASC: 4 things to know

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia officially opened its Specialty Care and Ambulatory Surgery Center in King of Prussia, Pa., this week. Here are four things to know about the new center.

1. The 135,000-square-fooot facility replaces one of the hospital’s existing facilities, with the addition of a new ASC.

2. The new center is four floors and has the capacity to expand up to 195,000 square feet.

3. The ASC is staffed by CHOP’s pediatric surgeons and pediatric anesthesiologists, as well as a full-time staff of pediatric nurses.

4. The facility also includes 68 exam rooms, an imaging center, an urgent care center and more.
