Lawmakers in Texas discuss a bill about “surprise medical billing”

This morning, the Texas Senate Business and Commerce committee, while hearing a bill to differentiate freestanding emergency medical facilities and ER Rooms, discussed the issue of “surprise medical billing,” according to KXAN.

The issue of “larger than expected medical bills” is an issue on many Texans’ minds and seems to now hold the attention of legislators.
