Beaufort Hospital to borrow $21M for purchase, including ASC

Beaufort (S.C.) Memorial Hospital plans to borrow $21 million for its purchase of a pair of buildings and new equipment, including the purchase of the Surgery Center of Beaufort (S.C.), according to a report from The State.

The hospital’s plan to borrow was unanimously approved by the county.

Acquisition of the surgery center was driven by the desire to expand on outpatient services and capitalize on healthcare trends, according to CFO Jeff White, in the report.
