The multicenter international study examined 185 patients who had same-day, back-to-back tandem colonoscopies. The study found:
• Standard colonoscopes missed 41 percent of adenomas.
• FUSE endoscopy system detected 69 percent more adenomas than standard colonoscopes.
The Fuse endoscopy system provides an expanded field of view, 330 degrees for a colonoscope compared to the 170 degree field of view in a traditional colonoscope.
