Did Physicians’ Work-Life Balance Improve After Switching to Employment? 3 Statistics

For most physicians, their work-life balance improved after they left private practice and became employed, according to Medscape’s Employed Doctors Report 2014.

The report includes responses from 4,600 physicians.

When asked if their work-life balance became better after leaving private practice for employment, respondents reported:

•    Improved — 56 percent
•    Stayed the same — 29 percent
•    Became worse — 15 percent
