AGA Launches New Guidelines for Crohn’s Disease

The guidelines are designed to assist physicians in deciding among immunomodular monotherapy, anti-TNF- α monotherapy and combination therapy.

The guideline was published in the December issue of Gastroenterology.

The AGA also offers a new decision support tool.

The guidelines were presented by David Weinberg, MD, MSc, AGAF, chair of the AGA Institute Clinical Practice and Quality Management Committee.

The American Gastroenterological Association has released new guidelines for inducing and maintaining remission in Crohn’s disease.
