Banner Health Acquires Banner Thunderbird ASC

Next week, Banner Health will acquire full ownership of the ambulatory surgery center on the Banner Thunderbird Medical Center campus in Glendale, Ariz., according to a Your West Valley report.

Previously, Banner Health held majority interest in the surgery center, while a small group of physicians held a minority interest.

The surgery center will be converted to the hospital outpatient department of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.

Banner Health also recently acquired full ownership of Union Hills Surgery Center in Glendale, Ariz. The surgery center became the outpatient department of Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center.
