University of Florida Receives $600k Donation, Plans Vision Research Lab

The ophthalmology department of the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville has received a $600,000 grant from Research to Prevent Blindness, which will be used to open a new vision research laboratory, according to a report by the West Seattle Herald.

The grant was funded by the estate of Mildred and Clifford Sanders.

The new research laboratory is expected to open in 2015.
