ARVO Names Dr. Justine Smith President, Dr. William Mieler President-Elect

The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology has named Justine Smith, FRANZCO, PhD, FARVO, its new president and William Mieler, MD, its president-elect.

Dr. Smith is a professor of eye and vision health at Flinders University in South Australia.

Dr. Mieler is a professor and vice chairman of the ophthalmology and visual sciences department of the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The ARVO 2014 theme is “Leading Eye and Vision Research.”
