The new facility is designed to accommodate growth of the combined practice and provide new outpatient surgical capabilities, according to Michael Dukes, practice administrator.

“A lot of specialty practices are moving toward the creation of ambulatory surgery centers,” Mr. Dukes said. “There are plenty of patient advantages to an ASC, including more reliable scheduling and, in most cases, a lower total cost.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
