Healthcare Reform May Create Jobs for Coders, Billers

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act may result in more job openings for coders, billers and healthcare information technology personnel, according to Employee Benefit News.

Healthcare reforms are expected to give 30 million more Americans coverage in 2014, requiring an additional 8,000 physicians over 12 years. It will also create a need for more coders and technology workers to file additional claims and master new requirements, such as ICD-10.
