New CA Cancer Center in Bakersfield That Includes Surgery Center Breaks Ground

San Joaquin Community Hospital, an Adventist Health facility based in Bakersfield, Calif., has broken ground on a new cancer center in Bakersfield that will include an outpatient surgery center, according to a KERO 23 report.

The Cancer Center at SJCH will be a four-story, 60,000-square-foot facility. It will feature the surgery center, radiation oncology and medical oncology.

 

The new facility is expected to cost about $36.2 million. Hospital officials are targeting to open the center in 12-15 months.
