Gastroenterologist on the Move: Dr. Michael T. Harris Appointed Chief of Surgical Services at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center

Gastrointestinal surgeon Michael T. Harris, MD, has been appointed chief of surgery and surgical services at Englewood (N.J.) Hospital and Medical Center, according to a Paramus Port report.

Dr. Harris most recently served as vice chairman of The Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s department of surgery in New York. He also served as president of the hospital’s medical board and had been an attending surgeon there since 1993. Dr. Harris helped pioneer the use of laparoscopic surgical techniques for inflammatory bowel disease, and he currently focuses on advanced reconstructive surgical techniques for the disease.
