Dr. Bridenbaugh led the department of anesthesiology at the University of Cincinnati from 1977-2003. He also served as the president of the Ohio Society of Anesthesiologists from 1991-1992, as the president of the ASA from 1996-1997 and has held many other offices in other anesthesia societies.
Dr. Bridenbaugh has authored 92 journal articles and has served on the editorial boards of many publications. He was awarded the Nicholas Greene Humanitarian Award for his contributions to the Overseas Teaching Program of the ASA, which he has worked with for 10 years.
