Joint Commission Proposes Revisions to Patient Flow in the ED Requirements

The Joint Commission has proposed revisions to is standards for its hospital accreditation program relating to patient flow issues and the safe care of patients awaiting admission or transfer, including patients with psychiatric emergencies, according to The Joint Commission website.

These proposed standards revisions are located in the Leadership and Provision of Care, Treatment, and Services.
