The CDC, with support from the CDC Foundation and Kimberly-Clark Corp., have developed a free, downloadable brochure on hand hygiene for patients.

The brochure answers questions about why hand hygiene is important, when to practice hand hygiene, how to do so properly, when to use soap and water vs. alcohol-based rub and why should practice good hand hygiene.
