Becker’s has reported on three physician practices since Sept. 9, spanning three states and two specialties, from orthopedics to cardiology.
1. Roseburg, Ore.-based Umpqua Orthopedics will close for patient care Sept. 15, ending more than two decades of orthopedic service in Douglas County. The practice announced the closure in a notice to patients; a reason was not provided. Michael Krnacik, MD, will relocate to Bay Area Hospital’s Orthopedic Clinic in Coos Bay, Ore., while Sandesh Pandit, MD, will relocate to the East Coast, with no further details shared about his future practice.
2. Walla Walla, Wash.-based Seleverstov Medical is permanently closing its doors. The practice is asking patients with urgent medical needs to seek care at urgent care clinics or emergency rooms in the interim. Medical requests relayed to the office before Sept. 8, along with care-coordination requests from other medical professionals, will still be addressed, but the practice can no longer accept new requests and is urging patients to establish care with a new primary care provider.
3. Two cardiologists in Wichita Falls, Texas, are closing their practices. Shona Sudarshan, MD, and Sriram Sudarshan, MD, are retiring from practice at North Texas Cardiology Center. Their practices will close Jan. 1, 2027.
